With another month behind us, the Rhombus team has released new features to enable your organization to be more connected and secure. Buckle up because we have a lot of new and exciting product features to share!
A common problem that most traditional cloud systems face is accessing camera feeds when the internet is offline. Today, we are excited to announce the ability to view live video streams even when your internet goes down.
If your internet suddenly goes offline, and your mobile device is connected to the same network, you can now access live and historical footage from the Rhombus iOS/Android mobile app. There’s no configuration or effort on your part, delivering a seamless and intuitive user experience. Most importantly, offline streaming maintains the same best-in-class cybersecurity practices that you have come to expect from Rhombus.
To try offline streaming out, download the latest mobile app, and disconnect your internet (it might be worth letting everyone know first)!
Recently we announced the R360 camera, a 12-megapixel, 360° camera with live, immersive dewarping. We then followed it up with the same immersive experience delivered to the Rhombus Mobile App. And today, we are now releasing tile views for the R360, allowing you to create up to 6 separate views from a single R360 camera!
For even greater control over your video streaming experience, there are now multiple ways to view your video! Building on Rhombus’ sub-second Live Realtime streaming, Live Buffered streaming is now available, providing full HD video quality with less browser and GPU requirements. Easily switch between the different streaming options, and the browser will automatically share your preference for that particular camera.
• Microsoft Teams is now available as an included integration, giving Microsoft Team users easy access to Alert Notifications .
• Floorplans now supports multi-story floorplans with simple drag-and-drop placement .

This month brings a new batch of improvements focused on Rhombus’ suite of AI video analytics, including Color Search for the R360, smart occupancy alerts, and more powerful search for license plate recognition. Plus, look out for quality-of-life improvements on the admin and bandwidth side!
The average person spends 90% of their time breathing indoor air. For that reason alone, indoor air quality (IAQ) is a major concern for all businesses, students, building managers, tenants, and employees because it can impact occupant health, comfort, well-being, and productivity. That’s where Rhombus smart sensor, the E2, comes in. The E2 Air Quality Sensor is part of Rhombus’ suite of IoT smart sensors. It's a plug-and-play sensor that lets you continuously monitor air quality and receive sensor-based alerts in real-time.
Every month, Rhombus deploys product improvements that make using the platform more intuitive, powerful, and user-friendly. These updates are rolled out automatically, so you can start enjoying them right away. This January, we’ve released improvements to the Apple TV App, Video Walls, Facial Recognition, and more.
