Over the last couple of months, we’ve received a great number of requests from customers about adding floorplans to the Rhombus Console. Today, we’re excited to announce that it’s finally here!
Floorplans allow you to visualize your entire security camera network at scale across multistory and multi-location deployments for unparalleled visibility. To get started, simply upload your floorplan for a specific location.
Whether you have a single or multistory building, floorplans can be added for each floor so that you can visualize your entire systems’ blueprint from one easy to navigate interface. Floorplans are directly overlaid on Google Maps, giving you the ability to see the layout of your space as well as the surrounding areas for enhanced situational awareness.
Once the floorplan is uploaded, you can place and reposition your cameras directly on the map. This allows you to get a complete picture of your organization’s physical security, see the directionality and general field of view for each camera, and quickly identify any potential coverage gaps. This month brings a new batch of improvements focused on Rhombus’ suite of AI video analytics, including Color Search for the R360, smart occupancy alerts, and more powerful search for license plate recognition. Plus, look out for quality-of-life improvements on the admin and bandwidth side!
The average person spends 90% of their time breathing indoor air. For that reason alone, indoor air quality (IAQ) is a major concern for all businesses, students, building managers, tenants, and employees because it can impact occupant health, comfort, well-being, and productivity. That’s where Rhombus smart sensor, the E2, comes in. The E2 Air Quality Sensor is part of Rhombus’ suite of IoT smart sensors. It's a plug-and-play sensor that lets you continuously monitor air quality and receive sensor-based alerts in real-time.
Initially introduced in 2020, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) establishes cybersecurity standards for defense contractors who handle sensitive information. It affects all contractors who perform work for the Department of Defense (DoD) in the United States. In this blog, we’ll look at CMMC, how it pertains to video security cameras, and how you can use video surveillance to strengthen overall security compliance throughout your organization.
